Judy Copeland (The StayInMay Short Film Fest Director and Naples’ own actor & film producer) brings the best new independent films and filmmakers to Naples for the 2017 StayInMay Festival.  Join us in discovering emerging talent and celebrating the cutting edge of cinematic story tellers.  All of the films screened have won prestigious awards and can only be seen at festivals---not available in theatres.  Throughout the three nights of the short film fest, Judy will bring filmmakers, actors, and producers to interact with the audience.  Join us in the comfort and intimacy of the Sheffield Theatre at Moorings Park for these remarkable films.

On the last night of the year, an old man's inconsequential life --a life mostly of his own making --is transformed by a mysterious visitor that changes everything. Critics have called the short film "Capra-esque" with "outstanding performances" and "an award-winning script that touches the heart ... " Directed by Bob Pondillo.

THE SETUP

'The Setup' is a short film about David and two very different girls named Sarah. When David's train gets delayed he is forced to sprint through New York City to make it to his blind date on time. When he gets there however, he sits down across from the wrong Sarah. Or was she really the right one? Written and directed by Leah Gottfried.

SHADE OF MUSIC

Two quarreling next door neighbors, with opposing tastes in music, discover an unexpected cure for loneliness when adversity strikes one of them. Shade of Music has won 5 festival awards.
