Experience the nostalgia of yesteryear with The Platters at the Naples Zoo. Enjoy food and beverages for purchase in the outdoor amphitheater while listening to the iconic pop standards that inspired the musical movement of rock and roll.

The Platters were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950’s, achieving success in delivering smooth, stylized renditions of pop standards. Started in Los Angeles in 1952, The Platters are responsible for such hits as “Only You,” “The Great Pretender,” My Prayer,” “Twilight Time,” and “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.” They also appeared in numerous rock-and-roll-themed movies, including Rock Around the Clock (1956), The Girl Can’t Help It (1956), Carnival Rock (1957) and Girl’s Town (1959). The Platters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998.
